Published Aug 07, 2020Following the release of her major-label debut EP Industry Games, Los Angeles rapper Chika has been spending her time — between anti-racism protests and making her acting debut alongside Jamie Foxx in Project Power — preparing new releases, like her latest, "U Should."
The new track, which features album art by Tiiwon Siaway, is, at its core, a sun-soaked love song. While the artist has remained relatively silent on the release, she did have one tidbit to offer in response to people comparing her vocals to Ms. Lauryn Hill.
"For those who have asked about a lil Lauryn vibe, I gotchu. You can stop bullying me now," she joked. "Since we didn't get a real summer, I'm gifting you the vibe."
The tattoo-positive artist even got some new ink to mark the occasion. See that below, where you can also listen to her new single "U Should."
